Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be part of a radio station? Whether you dream of presenting on air, working behind the scenes, or helping support your local hospital community, Radio BGM is opening its doors for a special Volunteer Open Evening.
On Tuesday 14th April 2026 at 7pm, we’re inviting members of the community to join us at Prince Philip Hospital to learn more about Llanelli’s community hospital radio station and how you can become part of the team.
Could you be part of the team?
At our open evening, you’ll discover the many different ways you can get involved. We’re currently welcoming volunteers interested in roles such as:
- Presenters
- Producers
- Digital Media Assistants
- Fundraising Assistants
- Experienced IT & Broadcast Support
No previous radio experience is required for many roles — just enthusiasm, reliability and a passion for helping others.
What to expect on the evening
Our Volunteer Open Evening is designed to give you a relaxed introduction to Radio BGM and what volunteering with us is like. During the evening you’ll be able to:
✔ Learn about Radio BGM and the impact we have on patients
✔ Find out how to get involved as a volunteer
✔ Meet current volunteers and ask questions
✔ Take part in a tour of our radio studios
