On Sunday, June 2nd, Radio BGM proudly attended Cancer Research’s annual Race for Life event. The day was filled with sunshine and community spirit as participants, volunteers, and supporters gathered for a noble cause. We were thrilled to capture the essence of the day, snapping photos and speaking with attendees, organisers, volunteers, Marshalls, and exhibitors.

Race for Life is an incredible initiative by Cancer Research UK, designed to bring people together to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. It is heartwarming to see how this event unites the community, fostering a sense of togetherness and shared purpose.

Throughout the day, we engaged with numerous individuals, hearing their stories and experiences. Their passion and dedication to the cause were truly inspiring. Our team compiled these heartfelt voice clips into a special program that aired on Sunday night, allowing our listeners to feel the vibrant energy and commitment of the event.

A special highlight of the day was our very own chairman, Dave Hurford, who took on the role of live on-stage presenter, entertainer, and host. Dave did a fantastic job warming up the runners and sending them on their way, infusing the event with enthusiasm and excitement.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Hannah and her team, who ensured the day was safe and well-organized. Their meticulous planning and hard work made the event run smoothly, allowing everyone to focus on the race and the cause it supports.
