At Radio BGM, we are incredibly fortunate to have a team of volunteers whose dedication and passion fuel everything we do. This year, at our recent Christmas outing, we were proud to recognise two exceptional members of our team for their remarkable service and unwavering commitment: Gareth Hurford, our Head of Programming, and David Hurford, Chairperson. Both were presented with 20-Year Recognition Awards to honour their outstanding contributions to Radio BGM and the community we serve.

Gareth and David Hurford have been pillars of our organisation since they first joined Radio BGM. Through countless hours of hard work, creativity, and leadership, they have played a vital role in shaping the station into the beloved community resource it is today. Gareth, as Head of Programming, has been instrumental in curating engaging, high-quality content for our listeners. His dedication to creating a diverse and entertaining lineup has kept Radio BGM fresh, relevant, and thriving over the years. Meanwhile, David, as Chairperson, has supported the station through growth, challenges, and milestones. His commitment to our mission has been invaluable to our success.

During our festive gathering, the team came together to celebrate not just the holiday season, but also the incredible achievements of Gareth and David. The 20-Year Recognition Awards were presented as a token of appreciation for their extraordinary service. Surrounded by friends and colleagues, it was a heartwarming moment to reflect on the impact they have had on Radio BGM and the wider community.

While we celebrated the past, the night also served as a reminder of the bright future ahead. Gareth and David’s dedication has laid a strong foundation for the station, and their continued involvement ensures that Radio BGM will remain a vibrant and vital part of Llanelli for years to come.

To Gareth and David, we extend our deepest gratitude for everything you have done and continue to do for Radio BGM. Your passion, hard work, and vision have made an indelible mark on the station and the community. Here’s to celebrating twenty incredible years of service—and to many more to come!
