On Friday March 22nd, the Diplomat Hotel, Llanelli will play host to our 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner. Expect an evening of fine dining, music and entertainment, all in aid of us celebrating the BIG 5-0. 

For the price of your ticket you will enjoy a hearty three-course meal along with music from ever-popular Wurlitzer’s, local tenor Richard Allen and the soothing tones of the Hospital Notes Choir, and the night concluded with a Disco, from Nicholas Heath. The event will also be hosted by BBC Broadcaster and friend of BGM – Garry Owen.

All proceeds from the event will go towards our 50th anniversary and helping to secure BGM’s future as a Community Hospital Radio Station.

How do i get to the venue?

The Diplomat Hotel is located on Felinfoel Road, Llanelli, SA15 3PJ. If you are travelling by car, use the following postcode: SA15 3PJ. Llanelli Train station is located approximately two miles away and there are a variety of Taxi companies operating in town. If you are travelling by Bus, Llanelli Bus station is located approximately 1.5 miles away from the venue. 

What parking arrangements are available at the venue?

The Diplomat Hotel  offers ample parking on site and disabled parking spaces also available.

Is there a dress code for the event?

Yes, the dress code is smart/formal evening wear. Additionally, we’d be delighted if you joined us in dressing to our ‘Black & Gold’ theme to celebrate our Golden year, however this is not essential. 

Is there any local accommodation I can book?

Yes, the Diplomat Hotel  offer accommodation but spaces are likely to sell out quickly. There are number of other hotels in and around Llanelli which are nearby. 

How do I collect my ticket(s)?

Your tickets will be sent to you by email BEFORE the event. Please retain these as you will need show them on arrival on the evening.

Can I get a refund if I am unable to attend?

Unfortunately, tickets are NON-refundable. If however you are unable to attend, someone else is very welcome to attend in your place. If you have a group booking of more than five tickets that you wish to transfer, please contact the 50th events team by emailing [email protected]

I have special accessibility needs/ Dietary requirements; can you accommodate me?

Of course! Upon booking your tickets there is a box which you can include any dietary or accessibility requirements for the event

Where can I find information about the event agenda & scheule?

The agenda will not be published before the event however doors open at 6:30pm with the event commencing at 7pm. We envisage the event will go on late into the evening but you are welcome to leave whenever you wish. 

What is included in the ticket price?

You can expect a tasty three course meal served by the Diplomat, along with an evening of entertainment, music and the opportunity to partake in a raffle in aid of Radio BGM.
